Not every church has a massive spire. The bells are then mostly housed in a separate standing wooden spire or a so-called Glockenstapel (bell pile). A bell pile is a frame made of massive poles. The spire-less church in Hörnerkirchen,* the church village in Kreisnorden has such a bell pile.
